Winner of the Fitness Challenge at our Northcote studio. In 8 weeks Maurice did incredible things. He:
1. Dropped 10 kg of body fat 😮
2. Did not loose any muscle.
3. Did 49 XO sessions
4. Halved his sled burpee fitness test from 5min to 2:30 😮
5. Took his 1min max assault bike cals from 30 (already great) to 44 😮😮😮
6. 75% increase in chest strength
7. 100% increase in shoulder strength
8. 100% increase in Deadlift strength
9. Stuck to the nutrition plan.
10. Achieved way more than his original goals.
Maurice. What you did would win any fitness challenge any where. It’s truly inspirational what you have done. Unbelievable. And all from giving yourself some XO. Keep being amazing. We are so glad to be a part of your journey !

Gemma … AKA, weapon, super star smashed the 8 week challenge and took out the title 🏆

Her results are nothing but amazing….

Did 37 classes.
Lost nearly 7kg in body fat.
Added more than 1kg of muscle
Halved her sled burpee challenge time.
Added 33% improvement on the bike.
50% improvement on Chest strength.
43% improvement in shoulder strength.
200% improvement in deadlifts.
Overall. 💪🏼

Jen did truly inspirational things in the 8 week challenge. She did 50 workouts 😮 Stuck to the nutrition guide. She dropped 8kg of body fat and put on 1kg of muscle. 💪 Which is phenomenal. With all that commitment and giving it a real crack, of course she had incredible gains in strength and in all her fitness tests.
What she did is truly amazing.

Superstar Elena smashed the 8 Week Fitness Challenge. She wanted to shred 4kg of body fat. She dropped 5kg ! And she even added nearly 1kg of muscle. Ever wondered why some people with smaller biceps

Ever wondered why some people with smaller biceps can curl more than someone with bigger biceps ? Or why you may be stronger but lost some muscle mass ??? Well, in brief, here are some of the key reasons:

1. **Neural Efficiency**: Strength isn’t just about muscle size. The efficiency of the nervous system in activating muscle fibers plays a significant role. A person with better neural connections might activate more of their muscle fibers simultaneously.
2. **Muscle Fiber Type**: Some muscles have more power-oriented fibers (Type II) than endurance ones (Type I). A person with a higher proportion of Type II fibers in a particular muscle might be stronger than someone with a larger muscle dominated by Type I fibers.
3. **Leverage**: Joint structures and tendon attachments can affect strength.
4. **Technique**: Proper form can enable heavier lifting. You may have developed better form.
5. **Muscle Density**: Denser muscles have more contractile tissue.
6. **Training Adaptations**: Training for strength vs. size leads to different results. How you train has an impact.
7. **Other Factors**: Diet, recovery, and hormones also play roles.
8.**Lastly. Psychological Factors**: Mental toughness can influence strength. So give it a real crack !
