200g steak Steamed vegetables 1 cob corn
Ingredients:
- 200g steak
- 1 cob corn
- 1/2 tsp butter
- 1/2 clove garlic, crushed
- 1/2 tsp parsley, chopped
- 1 cup steamed vegetables (such as asparagus, broccoli, green beans)
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper
Recipe:
Preheat oven to 200C. Mash butter, garlic and parsley. Cut piece of foil large enough to hold 1 cob, place cob on foil, top with butter mix, then seal edges to form parcel. Bake (or cook on the barbecue if preferred) for 20-30 mins or until tender. Meanwhile cut veggies into bite-sized pieces. Add 1-2” water into saucepan and bring to a boil. Then heat a heavybottomed skillet (preferably cast iron) over high for 5 minutes. Season steak with salt and pepper. Add 1/2 tsp oil to pan and top with steak and cook about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown curst forms. Turn and cook 2-4 min, depending on how well-done you like your meat. While steak cools, add veggies to boiling water, cover & reduce heat to medium. Check after a few minutes and remove when tender. Sprinkle vegetables with a tiny bit of olive oil, lemon juice & salt. Serve steak with veggies and corn on cob.
